I recently decided to switch from a MVB to a T5HO for better temperature control, but had to make a new stand to hold it. I decided to make a pcv stand to hold the uvb hood, with the first attempt hanging on one side of the table.

The pvc(1/2")wasn't strong enough not to bow, so I built a second side to better support the light. The light it self is 36", and runs down the middle of the table. It`s suspended by chains, wire, and zip ties, and hangs from a bar connected to both sides of the pvc cage by pvc T joints. The chains are connected to hooks drilled into the pvc, so i can adjust the height. The light is 1 T5HO 5% and hangs a little over a foot off the substrate. I havnt been to worried about it being to high as I have not yet replaced the MVB with a regular bulb. I will eventually replace the 5% with a 10%
