He also tries to breed with larger tortoises that are a different species

The sulcata in this picture passed away this year. Our neighbor kids threw a red sponge-y thing into our backyard and Tomato ingested it and died. Completely heartbreaking...

How cute! I guess as long as he doesn't try to mate with that chicken lol

Believe it or not, the chickens sometimes take rides on his back. It's hilarious!

I live in Arizona. He was raised alongside a pool and had lots of access to water/humidity. He turned out very well, I'd say!

I read you have another leopard hatchling on the way.
Please share detailed info about your husbandry and let us follow along as you raise the next one.

Many of us here use closed chambers with 80% humidity to growth smooth shells. But end results speak for themselves and any method that produces smooth growth is worth hearing about.
