Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you have used Mercury Vapor Bulbs in RF hatchling enclosures? Fall and winter are approaching in the northeast and I want to be able to provide some UVB to my hatchling tortoises during the cold and cloudy winter. I have a Reptisun 10.0 linear fluorescent, is this enough?

Thanks!

I have CDT hatchlings and have used the powersun MVB all winter long. My babies are nice and hard and no shell problems at all! It works great, I currently have low rider under it, except when he is outside getting the real stuff!

I am unsure if fluorescent bulbs offer adequate UVB, while MVB's seem more reliable.

I've got a Zoo Med Powersun and Deep Dome fixture on the way.

Thanks all!
