I hope this isn't too dumb a question, but I want to do a deep cleaning on Ghost's outdoor house this spring. Is Murphy's oil soap safe to use around him?

I'm not sure about it's safety, but you can get the same cleaning effect by mixing 3 parts of cooking oil and 1 part vinegar. The only thing that may be a problem is the oil in both solutions won't evaporate it will soak into the wood. Both work great on furniture and most hardwoods. On more pourous wood I use diluted vinegar or bleach to clean. They both evaporate pretty quick.
