I'm curious to know if there is anything different about mud turtle husbandry vs musk turtle husbandry?
And does anyone see a difference regarding their general personalities and behaviors?
Thanks! :p

Mud turtles are basking turtles, and are more fond of less water than musk turtles. Really, some mud turtles can drown o_OMost mud turtle varieties get a lot smaller than musks, too (like, seriously, it's not uncommon to have a 4'' long adult!)
I'd love to have a few of these adorable little guys in a tank like this-https://www.google.com/search?q=paludarium+tank&client=firefox-a&hs=6sa&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial&channel=nts&biw=1179&bih=682&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=uANhVMmzF9KBygShqICIAw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&dpr=0.9- becuase it would be FABULOUS for them!

Mud turtles like less water and more land, and they grow to a small size.
Musk turtles like more water, but like land too, and can also grow to a smaller size (depends!)
They are super similar! :D

(but I think mud turtles are really cute :p )

Yeah, still researching. I won't be getting one for at least 2 years because I currently work out of town most of the week and am only home weekends and some Mondays. I hope to retire in two years, so I'll have a lot more time then!:)
