Microchip

I picked up my little buddy on Saturday which I received a certificate with them, on the certificate has the microchip number now the lady took all my information which I assumed was her putting in for the microchip but when I’ve checked the database it says microchip not registered

So my question is do I need to register the chip to me and how do I go about this?

I would contact them and ask if they have registered the microchip. Best case scenario they will do it for you at no cost.

Yes, it's up to the new tortoise owner to register the chipped tortoise. There should be instructions with your paperwork. If not, go back to the store and get the info from them.
