Here's my little dwarf Herman xx he's my first tortoise, only had him 4 weeks, hes 12 months old, my boyfriend brought him for my birthday, he's an experienced tortoise keeper as he has 11 look forward to chatting about frankie and seeing everyone else's tortoises xx

He's cute. However, the pellet substrate is the worse you could use and I have never heard of a dwarf hermanns. Please read up on more info on here for hermanns. I'm afraid your boyfriend may still be doing things the old way which is not good, like the pellets.

Thank you very much xx we just put him on the same as he was kept on. this picture is when I first got him xx I've read up and he's now on the tortoise life soil type, but thank you for the advice xx

so cute! Im getting a russian tortoise in the next few days hopefully. You could use loose coconut fibers for the substrate its pretty cheap i guess, thats what im going to use
