While we're still in the warm months I've been trying to include outside elements in my tortoises' lives... today I cut a bunch of branches from some maples in the woods near my house, to put in their enclosures.

They seem to enjoy exploring, hiding in, and nibbling the fresh leaves...

Chili immediately came out of his hide and began wandering amongst the leaves.

Darwin similarly came out, nibbled at a few leaves, then hunkered down in the middle of a thicket.

Aretha takes off whenever I put new branches in her enclosure... I could hear her rustling around at the back of the enclosure but I didn't want to disturb her for a photo.

I'd like to see Aretha with some color changed leaves... I would think she would contrast really well.
