Lump on tortoise neck

Hi, has anyone seen anything like this before? Lump on my tortoises neck. He is his usual self and ready for hibernation but I’m reluctant to hibernate if he has some underlying physical health issues… I have him booked in at the vets in a couple of days.

Looks like it's in the loose skin, so probably an abscess caused by a sliver or the like.
