Hi everyone!

This may seem obvious to many of you, but I just want to be 100% sure. If I have a uv light in my indoor tortoise enclosure, do I still need a heat lamp that sheds light, or can I use a ceramic heat emitter.

Thanks!

Depends on the temps your enclosure reaches with the UVB and the ceramic heat emitter. 80 all over day and night, 95-100 basking with 80% humidity

Depends upon if your UVB light also puts out heat.

It doesn't, but the ambient temperature in the enclosure is already low-mid 80's without the ceramic heat emitter. I was only going to use it in conjunction with the UVB bulb because there is enough ambient heat. I just need a hotter basking spot than what it is. Thanks!
