Hey All.. I appreciate all the info that is out on this forum.. sometimes I feel the more I read the less I know! Hahaha..

So my enclosure for Leo isn't very tall, only about 9" after I added in some more substrate for burrowing- under the basking lamp it can get to about 100* which seems to be on the high end- but still in the range suggested for RTs.. but I'm thinking maybe it's too hot- and the light is too close to him.

Any suggestions or thoughts from you more experienced owners?

(Sorry for not being able to include a photo at this time)
Thanks!

The basking area needs to give them a good warm spot at about 95°F and the other end of their enclosure should be cool at about 70° this is if you predominately run a drier enclosure with a warm humid hide for use if the tort desires some humidity.....I personally would not run any lower than 80 if you keep an entirely constant high humidity enclosure....

I forgot to mention, while I am an experienced tort host....I do not house Russians....:D
