Got our little guy on April 30th and he weighed 47g. As of yesterday he weighs 72g...does that seem okay? He's eating good, pooping, etc but he's our first tort so just curious. Pics from sunbathing today❤️ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1433381429.623632.jpg

Gaining weight is always good. Growth varies a lot, but I would say that smount of weight gain in 30-40 days is a fastgrowing tortoise.

Thats about a 2-3% weight gain which is definitely healthy in that span of time. I agree that is a fast growing little guy!

I knew I should not be doing math!.. Being an art major and all, I seem to have a hard time with even simple math... Haha

Dude. You are still awesome in my book. Notice I didn't attempt to do the math either...

3% of 47 is 1.41. . This weight gain is 54%. 72-47=25. 54% of 47 is 25.38. Definately healthy weight gain.;)

Lol. At work with calculator sitting on my desk, couldn't help it. I do percentages for work. I am not a math fan normally, so don't expect too much. :)
