large russian?

Noticed a female russian on craigslist approx 1+ but to me seemed unusually larger. Owner says approx 7" in . Is this a russian and could it be older than just a year?

It is definitely more than one year old.

More than likely the ignorant pet store employee that sold the person this tortoise told them it was a year old. Its pretty common in the big box pet shops. Probably also sold them a 40 gallon tank, a red bulb, a coil bulb for UV and a ramped water bowl.

Russian females average 8 inches or so. so seven is a little smaller than average. oh yes older than a year

Full grown female Russian tortoise. No telling actual age, but I'd bet older than 15 years.
