I saw knobs digging in the mulch this evening,so I put her in the nest box. I didn't think much of it ,as this is about 20 days earlier than she usually lays. She went straight to work digging and soon had laid her customary 7 egg clutch.
Knobs lays 30 days after the last clutch!
