I've been worried, king slept in his burrow. So I took the temp gun out there and he is 18 to 20 degrees warmer inside than outside. Should i be worried? i live in Northern Cali. How low can it get before i have to bring him in. It gets low 50,s here at night.

What is your night time low in and out of the burrow and what are your daytime highs?

Mine live in their burrow all summer long. My night temps drop into the low 60's and daytime temps are near 100. Because the days are so hot, the average burrow temps stay pretty stable in the high 70's to low 80's depending on the depth.

Sounds like the temps here too. But we get in the 50,s .night for now.

That looks like a shallow burrow compared to my sulcatas... his is at least 15 feet deep..

It's the same weather here and mine has been fine sleeping in the burrow all night. I'm in the Central Valley.

Yea... I was shocked. The one he dug last year (I covered it for winter and didn't uncover it fast enough apparently) was deeper than this one I think. Lol
