Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, but have already found it very helpful. I have a new baby Sulcata named Tuck. My grandson named him/her that because he tucked himself in when Ethan came close to him/her. So the name just kind of stuck.

Welcome to the Forum, Tucks' Mom! It's nice to know that you've already gotten some xllnt information here ~ such feedback is always encouraging. Hopefully you have a large backyard with a sturdy wall, as even tho Tuck may be lil' now, he won't be for long, lol ;)

Enjoy your new addition to the family & Blessings!
Tell your Grandson he chose a great name ~

LOL those are the best names usually IMHO, when kids name them.

Welcome to the forum, Tucksmom. :)

What made you choose a Sulcata? You will find lots of helpful information and advice here on diet, enclosure, heat, substrate, etc. ;)

We'd love to see pictures of the little guy! Here's one easy way to post some: http://tortoiseforum.org/thread-5245.html

Have fun with Tuck. It will be neat for your grandson to see the tortoise grow from tiny hatchling to bruiser size Sulcata! :p

I agree, how neat to grow up with a little sulcata for your Grandson. Be sure to do lots of pictures in the years to come comparing how they both have grown and changed together. Almost forgot ...nice having you join us. Welcome!
