Hi,
I hope someone could advise. My horsfield tortoise has been out of (his first) hibernation for 4 days. He is lively, alert and with no signs of respiratory distress or any signs of ill health!
However, he does have pink/red hue isolated to his back scute on his carapace.
I am hoping this may be growth? Rather than fears of sepsis? As it seems to be isolated to that one spot and there is no sign of spreading. Just wondering if anyone has come across this before?
Thanks ? ?
