Is this edible?

This is abundant in my yard. Does anyone know if it's safe for a tort to eat this? I live in Florida, if that helps for identification purposes.

I did some searching on the internet and think this might be beggars tick. Can anyone confirm? If so, it is edible by humans. What about torts?
