Bigger is better. Also I am not a big fan of those water dishes, seem hard to get in & out & plastic doesn't have really good traction for tort feet. Terra cotta plant saucers were recommended to me when I got mine & I love them.

Thanks. For now I am going to keep that water dish as Twix seems fine with getting in and out but I will bury it a bit deeper and hopefully this year I will get a bigger cage and I am going to build an outdoor inclosure. Thank you so much and is there anything else that needs adjusting.

Try planting some live plants in your enclosure

It's pretty small for the size of the tortoise. And from that picture it looks like he won't have much trouble standing on his back legs and reaching the top of the wall. They can climb much better than you give them credit for.

Thank you. I know it is a bit small and In November she will be getting a very large cage and in a few months he will be getting an outdoor inclosure. When will he be fully grown. And when he is fully grown I am going to let him live 24/7 outdoors and their will be a heated shed for nighttime. Does that sound ok?
