Hello Everybody:

I live in Alta Loma (Southern California). Today I was out in the backyard looking for weeds for my Russian tortoises and captive breed Desert tortoises. I came upon a bunch of weeds that I did not know the name of and if that particular weed was edible. I identified it on the internet and it is called Persian Speedwell (Birdseye). Does anybody know if it is edible and healthy for my tortoises and also how often I should feed it to them.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. This forum is so great and I owe the health of my tortoises to it and all the great members who are always so willing to help. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!:D

I can't find out if its edible or not, however, it looks beautiful in my horse pasture! But my horse doesn't eat it. So, maybe SHE'S telling us it isn't edible.
