Is it ok for leopard torts to eat this?

I put sphagnum moss for my tort for substrate and he's eating it. Is it ok?

No, I would not let them eat it. It could cause impaction and get tangled up inside. Unless of course they are large leopards, then it might not bother them.

Well it is new to him. I just put it in today. Maybe he was testing it to see if it was food? Cuz then I gave him food and he stopped trying to eat it
