Is it just me or is this not a Russian Tortoise?

Someone has this posted as a Russian Tortoise on Craigslist. Is it just me or does this look like a Gopher Tortoise?



Edit: Wait, he clearly states that this is a Gopher Tortoise. Time to tell him it's illegal.

Not sure, but doesn't look Russian to me. There was an add a while back on my Craig's list. Had a picture of a sulcata, selling it as a Russian. I let them know to change their ad now, or I was going to report them. Well, I flagged them a lot and also posted my own ad that it was not a Russian, but a sulcata. Some people.

Yeah, I nicely told him that it's illegal to own Gopher Tortoises without a permit and illegal to sell them period. If he doesn't take his ad down i'll report it.

It depends on where he is as to if it needs a permit or not, or if it is illegal or not.
