Hi everyone ?? A newbie here! I’m looking into getting a tortoise and came across this little guy in a pet shop. I was wondering if his shell is okay?

We can’t tell from this angle if he’s pyramiding. Make sure his humidity is at least 80% and above to prevent pyramiding. The higher the humidity the better. That substrate is no good, it doesn‘t hold moisture at all replace it with fine grade orchard bark. I’m sure you got all the wrong pet store info.
