Picked her up yesterday, incubated to be a female so we shall see in a few years! Raising her in a closed chamber so it's got and humid inside with frequent warm sprays. She's just enjoying some cactus pads this morning. She's really active, ate right away and I think she's settling down nicely.

Nice looking star. You may need to cut the cactus bit smaller, makes bit easier for her to chew.

Thanks everyone, and thanks for the advice too. I've been kicking around the idea of raising another species of tort and finally decided on stars. They are extremely expensive here in Canada, but I think they are one of the most beautiful torts around. I am excited to learn more about the stars, and I might go for a trio soon and see what happens in 7 or 8 years!

All baby torts have that cute, innocent face. Your baby star is so cute I'd wish I had started with one before I got my sulcatas. What am I talking about? I would have gotten them anyway, and I may still get my star :p

Yep. Then they get big and have that "Yeah I just jumped your shoe" look.
