I took a closer look at this one and was surprised to see how light the plastron really was compared to the other hatchlings. Cute little bugger. The other interesting thing is that those two hatched within a day of each other. Amazing size difference.

They're both beautiful!

So the second hatchling must have been a much smaller egg (I'm assuming same mother)? I can't fathom a 24-hour growth rate rapid enough to account for that size difference, tell me this isn't so!!!

Never mind, their yolk sacs are absorbed, wow, the elder of the two is a fast grower!

Actually the darker one is a Ramutan baby and the other a found clutch. That light one is going to be a real neat brick red when it matures. The smaller one did come from an egg that was not noticeably smaller. Genetics are fun.

Fantastic indeed. The move has shown no hiccups in the lovely wee ones I see. I just love that one. Super light.

Really nice patches of color on their legs. Rambutan has always made neat neonates.
It will be interesting to see how their color intensifies as they grow.
