Interesting Kinixys

Hello.

We recently acquired a young group of imported FB animals imported from Kenya, said to be belliana belliana. After only been working and having experience with the nogueyi we are very happy to finally taking the step to work with this other beautiful kind of Kinixys. Other than being a little shy they are all perfectly healthy and good eating animals.

In the group there are a few with quite a lot of white coloring coming in and, what we think is interesting, one particularly light colored specimen. We ourselves have never seen a belliana belliana with this amount of lighter coloring.

Great growth and wonderful you were able to get these. Light color will likely darken in due time unless is whole shells color. Where are you located? USA, GB, Euro, etc?

Is this usual in belliana?

After reading and seeing a lot of pictures of pure belliana, and only reading about and seeing less coloured animals I'm a little bit surprised over the colours coming up in most of my animals.

This coloring is normal. This come from growing. You bought them in with this color?

It will be interesting to see if the color will remain (they maybe even will get more) or if they will turn darker with time.

Yes, we got those in just recently.
