Good Afternoon folks, I have two questions regarding my Sulcata enclosure. 1. I have tiny insects like gnats, small spiders (non poisnous) frequent the boxed in side of my tortoise enclosure is there a way to keep them out ? Not sure if they bother the torts or not. 2. How big should a tort be before I am able to remove the chicken wire from the top of the tort enclosure ? My backyard is fenced so not worried about dogs, just flying predators I guess, I live in Texas.

I don't worry about the little bugs that come into my habitats. They don't seem to bother the tortoises.

Once a sulcata gets to be a couple years old, or about the size of a half a cantaloupe, they usually have lost their appeal to predators.
