hello, I just got my star last Christmas... is there anybody here who lives in a tropical country that could give me advices on how to take care of my star..? she's 2 years old i think... 3-4 inch in carapace length... I am planning to make an out door enclosure for her so that she could be closer to her habitat... but I am clueless on what kind of landscape i will do to copy his habitat....

Hi bloodshed,

Roaming Space:
-natural carpent grass without pesticide will be good.
-alternatively, hay and newspaper works fine too.
-excess to unfiltered sunlight (for him to bask)

Shelter:
-a shaded area where your ST can cool off after his basking

Water point:
-a big dish (approx 3x the length and 2x the breath of your ST), with water up to only the highest point of your ST's plastron (to prevent drowning)
-this is a place for him to take a sip, cool off and maybe just chill out ; )

Terrain:
-strategically, place some smooth pebbles (not too tall, the flatter type is good) for your ST to climb, clear obstacle, all in all is for him to do some exercise! =)

This is my 2cents worth of suggestion.
*How I wish to have my own garden*
