My tortoises destroy everything we put in their cage. We are making an outdoor pen but had to stop since we live in Chicago. But anyway, I want them to explore more so what can I add for them look around more?

hey there! for the outdoor enclosure you could put some larger rocks or logs placed so your tort cannot climb over them but hide behind them. I've gone hunting in the woods for things to put in my tortoise enclosure and found some thick bark that i prop up so they can hide under or just lay on the ground for a different feel. try to get larger plants with a more developed root structure so your tortoise can't knock it over. i noticed all the small plants i had got trampled quickly so i bought the bigger potted plants.

Thank you! They usually rip them up and drag them around the enclosure so I'll get larger plants!
