Importing Aldabra tortoises to Madagascar

In an effort to fill the "ecological shoes" of extinct tortoises in Madagascar, conservationists are considering importing Aldabra tortoises to the area.

I seriously doubt it will happen. Madagascar has bigger issues to deal with than trying to re-introduce megafauna back to the island...Besides, I would venture to guess those 300 Tortoises that they plan on raising for 5 years will be gone before the 2nd year is up......

Seems to me like trying to put out a giant warehouse fire with an eye dropper.

The only thing that needs to happen to save Madagascar, or any other wildlife area, is to make the humans leave.
