The first picture is the type of opuntia you want to get to feed your tortoise. The others are also edible, however, they are not a good plant to have around children. Each of those little brown spots on the pad contain millions of little stickers that you have a very hard time getting out of your skin.

Yvonne: I've heard that rubber cement is a good way to get them out. just apply it to the area and let it dry and then peel it off.
