Looks like it to me. Does it feel gritty? Like a really really fine sand paper?

no chance to feel it yet , someone is selling it , which part is gritty ? top or bottom ?

quite hard to id without the fruits , is there other ways beside feeling the leaves ?

Don't sweat it. It's mulberry. I just found out about them this year and went on a quest to several nurseries to find one and I did. I became very familiar with them. From what I've read, several members here have huge trees.

me too recently know of the benefits from a shrimp forum, apparently the leaves can be fed to crystals red shrimps too , i just bought some cuttings from a confirmed white mulberry , but no roots , have to wait for a week or two , lol not much confidence as this is mine first time trying a cutting

finally one of the cuttings show signs of life , one root came out and sprouting a tiny leave , should i start planting it or leave it in the water ?
