I'm moving to a new place soon and i'm preparing for a leopard or star tortoise.
This new place has a small yard full of these.
What are they called and are they safe for tortoise?

Sow thistle. It's edible and good for greek and russian tortoises...probably star as well but I am not so familiar w/these species.

You might want to wait a little bit to let everything grow out in case there was any pesticide or herbicide application by the previous owners of your new house...

I've been collecting dandelion seeds and plantain seeds haha.
And the house has been empty for awhile now so i know i dont have pesticide problems

cool remember to check in the diet and food section re: your star tortoise's ideal diet, they might eat more grasses than the forb loving desert types I'm more familiar with
