I just wanted to confirm this plant.

Google says this is oxalis or burr medic. It also says ppl make tea out of it. TT says not safe.

Can someone take a look to confirm one way or the other.

My tortoise yards are covered in it.

Burr clover. I feed it to mine whenever I find it. That is not oxalis.

Bur clover is a medic. The common name medic and bur clover are used almost interchangeably for this plant. Medico polymorpha. The picture does indeed show M polymorpha. All types of bur clover and medic are in the same genus.

WEll burr clover is a good name for it. All the locals gave it the knick name of stickers, when it dries up the darn thing is terrible you cannot walk barefoot and need to be careful even in flip flops.

Its like roly polies, sow bugs, pill bugs, wood lice and isopods. All the same thing with different common names.

Yup, that is exactly why it's called bur clover. No reason to keep it all over the yard if you can pull some of it out while it's still green.
