I just went outside to find 2 of my p.babcocki digging nests. My question is this. Is it possible for them to lay fertile eggs if they have only been with a male the last 2 weeks (in their entire lives). I realize its nature and anything is possible, but is it probable?
Thanks

Yes it's possible, but not probable. You might get a few fertile eggs, but will have a better fertility rate with the next clutches.

That was my thought also Dan, but I wanted to hear it from someone else. Its the first year I put my only male with those 2 females and I didnt give it much thought untill they started digging. With my other female they bred for a solid year before she layed eggs, so when this happened It brought on lots of questions. Thanks Danny
