This is a tough one.

How about building a hood, like an aquarium hood, that sits on top of the tank and you can hang the lights and heating element from it?

On my 55 which is 4 feet long I put a 2 bulb fluorescent fixture up front, a board across the back that fit inside the recess the tank had and sealed it all up with foil tape. It would keep it as soaking wet as I wanted.

Attached to the board on the inside. I used a porcelain fixture from Home Depot cost $4. Drilled a hole to run the wire through.

image.jpeg I used the foil tape between the light and the board to make a hinge of sorts.
