How's Rosie looking?

I adopted Rosie around Xmas time and she had some pyramiding from her past parents from no MVB or sunlight but now lives the life of a queen tort lol. How's she looking on new growth? ThanksImageUploadedByTortoiseForum1365389598.431654.jpg

It is hard to tell...but I can tell you she is a beauty and looks like she has a good appetite....all good :D

That is a lot better!! She is really pretty!!!!!!!! I think she looks good and healthy!
I am sure she looks better than when you first got her huh?

She looks great compared to how she looked when I brought her home. When I picked her up she lived on clay dirt and mulch with zero humidity and iceberg lettuce. Here is a pic the day i picked her up.

She's getting there slowly but surely. All I want is her to be happy and healthy. We love her so much.

Oh yeah, she's looking better already!
With the new growth, her shell should even out in good time. =)

I'm very glad she's getting better care now. She looks much better.


However, pyramiding is not caused by lack of UV or sun. It's caused by growth in overly dry conditions. You can grow a totally smooth one indoors or a very lumpy one outdoors.

Thanks a Tom Tom that means alot coming from you, in the earlier post I said she had no humity also and she wasn't even soaked but once a week. She's great now and a ball off energy.

Your right it was. That was the day we picked her up and in her old enclosure at her last family. She gets the good ole powersun now and lots of sunlight.

The new growth looks great. Really, in this day and age, there's no excuse for people to be ignorant about caring for their pets. If people can't look on the internet to find the best diet and care tips, they don't need to have pets at all. Nice to see she has a good home now.
