Very cute! Make sure your paint is non toxic because he'll be biting it as soon as he can reach! Haha! :D

I think flowers and grass and bugs would be Tort appropriate! ;)

Looks like he wants to help, whatever it is you do to it. I think,whatever will fit into,your yard. You may want to camouflage it, if you have any worries of thieves. Announcing you have a tortoise can be a bad thing. Good luck and don't forget update pics.

If it were mine, I would find a place in deep shade and put it there. Then I would add a phoney window and trim, and paint it the same color as my house. I would paint in a flower bed across the bottom, with blooming flowers.

Haha. My neighbors told me I should have my torts do "tort painting" and sell them. You know, like the elephant, monkey and I'm sure a bunch more. I guess yours has it in him already to be an artist:D
