Ok, Im trying to decide if this is normal. Livingstone's breathing isn't labored, and she doesn't have any trouble breathing, moving etc. But I can now hear her breath very clearly. I thought it was because she was getting bigger, but now I want some re-assurance.

She is 2years, and 4months old. 9 inches SCL. Can somebody with a similar sized sulcata give me some feedback.

Thanks.

do you mean like hearing every breath, in take/exhale? or do you mean when they like clear their breath and let it all out?

i do not have sulcatas, i do have CDT and I have heard each and everyone of them breath....I have watched the ground be dusted as they sniff and breath against the dirt....

maybe someone witha sulcata will let you know about that specific tortoise...
:D

I have a 10 and 12 year olds, and the 12 year old snores. I would not worry.

I can sometimes hear breath from the big adults, but never on my 3 year old or younger ones. I'll pay closer attention and see if I "notice" it more now that you've mentioned it.
