For my little sully my wife and children love to have him out of the pen to explore. I was wondering if the temp of my home being at 68 degrees will affect him while he is exploring (sick). He may be out for 15 min periods or so. If its not a good idea for him to come out to explore what temp should I set my home to? Or change his explore time to 5 or 10 mins!

For short outings it wouldnt be an issue but I wouldnt go any longer than 30 minutes. Some people will tell you its terrible and that he will spontaneously combust or that you shouldnt let your tort roam in the house at all bit I think its a good idea as long as your responsible about it. If you decide to let him out longer than that I would either bring the temp up to 75 or take him outside.

Also, keep in mind the ground level temp may be much lower. I would just out what that temp is also.

It probably won't have any negative effect on him. Personally, I would rather let him explore outside or in a larger heated area.
