I still can hear them over the redfoots. No Forstens banging shells, but the one male Russian is doing a good job. It's not so much the volume that gets me, but the fact it's just kinda right on the edge of hearing, so I instinctively tune it in. Does that make sense?

Hmm... my males are always really quiet while breeding. My dominant male will only make noise when he's bothering my other male. But my girls always look as bored as yours.
