In Canada, $800 CAN for subadults is a good price. They're quite uncommon here.

Are captive bred torts more expensive than wild caught ones? In Malaysia they are also quite uncommon. Got mine for only RM550. About $125

We don't have wild caught tortoises at all in Canada and haven't for several decades now (a big part of why our market is so much more expensive). In the US, CB are more expensive than WC though.

By wild caught I meant wild caught and imported.

Well, it's bad for those wanting cheap tortoises, but limiting wild collection is not a bad thing. Most Testudo species are around 500-550 CAN for hatchlings.
