Hi-new from S.A.

Hello there,

I am new to the forum so thought I would introduce myself!

I recently adopted a "neglected" little tortoise and am a first time owner! I used to own turtles when I was much younger but can't really remember much from then (yip old age he he he)

I live in Natal in South Africa with my hubby, 2 boys, 2 dogs, 1 cat, wild monkeys and now the tortoise who has been fondly named "Alvin" (after alvin & the chipmonks movie) by my 4 year old.

Alvin lives outside in an enclosure but roams the garden when we are home to supervise!

I'm hoping to learn from the website & "meet" fellow tortoise owners!

Wow thanks for all the welcomes!!!

Well I am no tortoise specialist, but I think Alvin is a Leopard tortoise but here is an attachment so maybe you can correct me if I'm wrong? Also have no idea as to his age so any guesses would be appreciated?
