Hello we chose cypress mulch as our substrate for our indoor enclosure and I like to keep the humidity up because it usually tends to get a bit dry but I seem to have a problem with the substrate breaking up or it turning dusty. Today when i was mixing it to see if the bottom was sill moist I saw that it became very dusty or there was a lot of powder. Can anyone help with this?

You need more water...Or less mulch.
