Iceberg lettuce is a NO NO. Romaine is OK occasionally. Dandelion leaves are great as are other weeds. Fruit is not necessary and could be harmful. Mine loves "spring mix" from the grocery store but as more weeds begin to grow I will feed those also. I dust a phosphorus free calcium powder lightly over the greens. I don't know about tomato but wouldn't feed it to mine. They come from dry grassy areas, no tomatoes or fruit grow there.

Good luck with your new tort

Don't know about the cabbage...Romaine lettuce is ok as well as other leafy greens. Someone should know a good list of edible greens. I don't remember where I saw it.
