Hello I'm new to the world of tortoises and I'm quite a paranoid person but I've notice the scales on my tortoises head look like there peeling off of drying up and falling of I wonder it anyone new why this was happening and if it's possible to stop?

It's normal, just leave it to shed off naturally don't pull it off, give tort daily soaks too so he's not too dry

Okay so daily soaks rather than three times a week, how long do you recon I keep this up?

I soak mine everyday I never see him use his water dish so peace of mind I know he's getting what he needs & Stanley loves his baths

Haha well LSD (that's his name, short for little sergeant dawdle) always seems to be splashing about in his water making a massive mess.... But ill bath him more often
