Herbicides and my grass munchin Sulcata

I am lucky and have a secure grassy yard for my Sulcatas. My lawn in 50/50 weeds and the weeds are beginning to win. Any suggestions before I poison my tortoises with weed and feed for the lawn?

If you plan on letting the tortoise have the whole yard, all you can do is pull the weeds, roots and all, prior to them setting seeds.

If it were my tortoise yard, I would just mow it occasionally, and don't worry about the weeds. Let them be and mow 'em down.
