Hi guys in my Torts enclosure he's had a tiny garden tortoise ornament in there for a few weeks recently he always goes to sleep with it like its a mate it's on its side in the picture and he's resting his head on it has anyone else tort done this ? Is was thinking maybe sexual maturity but he's only 4 nearly 5 I thought that was a little early myself .

He looks big enough to be sexually mature. Just like human boys, tortoise boys are hormonally crazyier early on. It's either sexual aggression or merely aggression. They really like being alone.

I don't think he sees another tortoise in that sculpture. It's way too small to mate.
Maybe it smells interesting?

Maybe just to rest his head on.
Tidgy just rests her head on objects of the right height sometimes, like using a pillow!

He's started attacking it he tries to bite it I've decided to take it out I don't want him hurting his mouth

I would take it out anyway if he's getting stressed by it.
