I have much experience with Redfoots, but recently acquired 3 Hermann that I'm slowly learning about.
The two females are doing great. They have transitioned to their new diets like champs, and are both showing significant shell growth over the last 5 months. They are active and I have no worries about them at all. Enter the male.
I never see him eat. Ever. Anything I put in front of him seems to be sniffed and ignored. He has a tiny tiny amount of growth - but very minimal compared to his sisters. He isn't particularly active either. He tends to dig into the dirt in a corner and stay there until the lights come on in the morning. Then he will sun bathe until the evening and return to a corner.
I'd welcome any suggestions to help him thrive. I know I'm offering him everything he needs, and maybe I'm over worried, but it can't hurt to see what all of you suggest. Thanks!
