HELP w/ enclosure addition.

This is my current set up. And I am watching Craigslist for a deal on a large closed chamber or a huge aquarium. And until I find what I'm looking for, I'm considering adding an additional 54 gallon tote to my current set up.
Thoughts? And HOW would I do it? Anyone have pictures of a combined tote set up?

If not I will post Saturday, when I am back where these enclosures are.
We used a white PVC tube to connect them at the bottom. It took about 5 minutes for my husband to do it. My Greek loves walking through the tunnel.
